You’ve been tried to quit for a while now, but every time you find yourself weak and unable to stay strong in the face of temptation. The bonds of your addiction are too strong and you’ve all but become a slave to your habit. I won’t pretend to know how you feel and I am not here to tell you that what you are doing here is wrong/right because you already know that. I am here to tell you this “You are not a slave” or at least you don’t have to be. You were freed a long time ago and that freedom is still yours for the taking.
We are Weak But He is Strong
Sometimes we feel weak when face these temptations, and the reason behind that is quite simple. Us Human Beings are actually quite weak. Time and again we might try to prove otherwise to ourselves and to those around us, but the fact remains that we are, indeed, weak and in that weakness we tend to make mistakes and lose our resolve. Here is some good news for you. You don’t have to fight these temptations alone, you don’t have to bear this cross alone, help is right there with you and all you have to do is ask.
“Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you”
God has asked to you depend on him and his strength. In fact he has asked you for your burden. He is willing to provide you and support you with his own strength and help you get through this. As i said earlier that alone we are weak but in him we are strong. He wants to be there for you through these tempting times, and all you have to do is put your faith in him and your troubles over him and he will come through. The question is are you willing to accept the help that he has to offer?
