Gift of God’s Love

Ever since Lucifer was thrown out of the Heavenly presence of God. Lucifer had taken a role of an accuser of God’s children, which gave the title Devil for he accuses God’s children on how sinful we are. The Devil got permission from God to test Job so that Job would curse God and show man’s true colors. But the Devil learnt a hard lesson as Job never let His God down.

But the Devil the accuser has not stopped his work, constantly he keeps the Children of God remember they are sinners and live in Sin. Today, no wonder we have pulpits preaching sin management that leaves the guilty reel in sin and never able to liberate the finished work of Christ on the cross of Calvary.

However God the Father’s gift of love towards us is the forgiveness of our sins through the precious blood of His Son, Christ Jesus. Yes, forgiveness in Jesus’s blood is a gift from a Holy Father. Keeping His door (Jesus) open so that you and I can enter to seek cleansing. Our Father knows we need to grow and mature in the character of His Son. In the process we can experience the Heavenly Father’s love through the gift of forgiveness, bringing healing to our relationship with our loving God and renewing His love towards us.

Whenever I am not living according to my Heavenly Father’s will, the Spirit of God reminds me to seek His forgiveness through Christ’s finished work of salvation. Reminding me that there is no more condemnation and I am pronounced not guilty because of Jesus’s blood that cleanses all my sin and makes me righteous before God. Also reminding Devil that he has lost his cause to accuse me on my sin as the Eternal, Just Judge of humanity has forgiven me leaving the Devil in despair.

Yes, forgiveness is not to change my behavior but a gift to a child of God to experience the Heavenly Father’s love expressed through the Son in the Holy Spirit through the healing and forgiveness of our sins.

May we recognize forgiveness is a love Gift from our Heavenly Father and respond with an attitude of a debtor going to a loving Creditor who forgives with unconditional love and makes us sensitive towards what hurts our Heavenly Father, giving us the sensitivity to repent and not repeat that which hurts our Heavenly Father. May His gift of forgiveness set us free from our guilt and respond with appropriate love towards our Triune God.
